If so, we’d like to talk to you about some of the interesting types of work we engage in. We are seeking an experienced product development focused Mechanical Engineer to join our team. Our growing business focuses on developing innovative products and systems for a multitude of client companies.

Position Description:

The Mechanical Engineer in this role will be responsible for defining and executing development / engineering projects, as well as providing technical expertise and leadership. The individual will interact directly with our clients, and will be charged with not only executing high value engineering work, but also communicating concepts and development tradeoffs. The candidate should have experience leading / guiding small groups. Engaging with clients, assisting in scoping projects, and producing estimates, are a part of this role. The ideal candidate will be able to extract client needs through conversation, and eloquently define potential solution paths on the spot. Credibility, creativity, and self-direction are critical to success. All team members are expected to maintain good working relationships with clients, staff, outside contractors, and support team members.

This is a critical role, requiring a mixture of technical capabilities and soft skills. A proven track record of development success is required. Project scoping, team leadership, and coaching are also important skills for success in this role.

Experience / Skills Required:

• Experience in full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture and implement)
• Ability to lead and coach team members
• Define and explain development paths to both technical and non-technical people
• Ability to develop project outlines, including estimates
• Mechanical design expertise in one or more technical areas, such as plastic injection molding, metal forming, weldments, castings, machining, additive/subtractive manufacturing
• Experience working within cross-functional development teams
• Knowledge of current and emerging manufacturing/prototyping technologies
• Comfort working on multiple projects within a work week, with priorities shifting as client needs arise
• Advanced skill in Solidworks (or similar) 3D modelling, as well as drafting knowledge
• 7-10 years of experience

Experience / Skills Preferred:

• Consulting experience
• Mechatronics or electrical experience
• Ability to construct early prototypes
• Ability to assemble, test, and modify prototypes throughout a project
• Familiarity with current development trends

Education / Training Required:

• BS Mechanical Engineering, or related field, plus experience
• Experience in Solidworks or similar software

Position Description:
The Marketing Manager will work directly with the partners to create a value proposition, offer, and marketing agenda. The leadership of the marketing manager will be critical for getting the SGW Designworks established with the right businesses in the target markets, resulting in a healthy funnel and a strong ability to close. The individual will be responsible for defining and executing business-to-business marketing initiatives that align with the strategy and goals of the business. The candidate should be capable of crafting and driving a marketing message using effective and target optimized messaging and promotion techniques. Given the nature of our business, an understanding of product life cycles and product development techniques will be important for this position.

This role is a critical to accelerate the growth of our business. A proven track record of ambitious marketing accomplishments is required.

Experience / Skills Required:
• 3+ years of B to B marketing experience required
• Winning track record of defining and driving value propositions, offers, and translating them into effective marketing messages and content
• Passion for developing marketing campaigns and lead generation plans and seeing them through to successful deployment
• Comfortable with creating and articulating the return of marketing investments and owning the results.
• Proven track record in identifying, reaching and engaging target customers
• Curiosity to try new things paired with robust analytical skills. Willing to apply rapid prototyping principles to marketing tactics. Try, measure, adopt, and then scale.
• Experience in using a content driven, “always-on” marketing that engages prospective customers into a value added dialogue. Know how to use and connect social media with other digital marketing assets to achieve this.
• Very good written and graphical communication skills with the ability to develop effective media-optimized marketing collateral
• Demonstrated ability to define an outcome, and take proactive and independent actions to deliver results
