When product aesthetics, ergonomics, look, and feel are the most important drivers of success, looks-like prototypes are an important development tool. When developed and built properly, looks-like prototypes serve to test specific aesthetic choices in a product. Often times a looks-like prototype will be designed to intentionally exclude specific functional features, since testing the aesthetics or ergonomics is the top priority.
