SGW's firmware engineering services bring your hardware to life. We develop the embedded firmware that runs on your device, from first board bring-up through the features your users interact with every day, and we develop it alongside the electronics so hardware and code are designed to work together.

Firmware work starts early. During architecture and component selection, we consider how the microcontroller, peripherals, memory, and power budget will support the features you need. When the first boards arrive, we handle bring-up, drivers, and peripheral integration, confirming that every circuit works as designed before building higher-level functionality.

From there we develop device features, user interface behavior, sensor handling, motor and actuator control, power management, and wireless connectivity on the device. We write firmware that is maintainable and testable, and we verify it on real hardware under real operating conditions, not just on a bench.

Our focus is the embedded side of the product. When a program also needs mobile apps or cloud services, we coordinate with trusted outside partners and define clean interfaces between the device and those systems.
