Firearms design company

While some firms shy away from firearms development projects, we recognize the potential for innovation in firearms engineering to enhance reliability, accuracy, and user experience. Over the years we have developed a number of innovations that are now commercialized in the firearms space.

Beyond the Basics

Our strength lies in deep mechanical engineering expertise. We understand tolerance-critical mechanisms and critical safety systems, allowing us to create:

  • Optimized Actions: We engineer improved actions, tailored to specific performance goals and user needs.
  • Enhanced Components: From innovative fire control parts to full chassis systems, we elevate existing platforms for optimal performance.
  • Aftermarket Accessories: Seamlessly compatible add-ons that integrate with various firearms for use in competition, sporting, and defense applications.
  • Electronics Integration: We can develop and integrate custom electronics for enhanced functionality, safety, and user experience.

Projects we've completed in the firearms and accessories market:

  • Proprietary Rifling Profile Development: We developed a unique rifling profile, analyzing its impact on chamber pressure for both safety and optimized performance.
  • Biometric Enabled Smart-Gun Engineering and Prototyping: We developed and validated fingerprint and key-code systems into a ubiquitous polymer-frame pistol system. This included all electronics engineering, mechatronics for safety actuation, miniaturization, and approximately twenty units for functional testing.
  • Helicopter Sniper Stabilization System Development: This project improved accuracy and reduced user fatigue in challenging environments, contributing to mission success.
  • High-Precision Bolt Action Engineering: We analyzed and optimized a high-end bolt-action rifle for unparalleled accuracy and reliability in sporting applications.
  • Muzzle Device Design and Engineering: Multiple projects project resulted in improved performance and reduced recoil, enhancing both accuracy and user comfort.
  • Suppressor Optimization for Production: We rigorously analyzed and enhanced a suppressor design, analyzing tolerances and reducing production time.‍
  • Improved AR Bolt Engineering: Our mechanical team developed new geometry for the lug-end of AR bolts that would reduce the likelihood of misfires and mis-feeds dur to carbon buildup. This included rigorous FEA, metallurgy work, and DFM as well as developing the final production drawing package.‍
  • Reduced Reciprocating Mass Bolt Carrier Design: By minimizing reciprocating mass in gas impingement systems, we aimed to improve cycling speed and reduce felt recoil for a smoother shooting experience.

Rigorous Testing: Where Prototypes Prove Their Mettle

We understand the crucial role of testing in firearms development. That's why we apply our proven product development process, which emphasizes rigorous prototyping and live-fire testing when appropriate. Our team and network have the expertise and facilities to build and test firearm prototypes, validating design decisions in each iteration.

Let's Develop Something New - Together:

We understand that each project is different. We're used to adapting our approach to the unique business realities of every company we work with. Let's connect to talk about your project, and how we would execute it with you: connect with us.
