What antenna integration covers
- Antenna type selection and placement
- PCB keep-out zones and ground plane planning
- Enclosure material, wall thickness, and coating choices
- Cable routing and connector selection for external antennas
- Coordination with RF module and antenna suppliers
Enclosure and antenna, designed together
The enclosure is part of the RF system. We review housing geometry, seals, and mounting with antenna performance in mind, and for radar and other high-frequency products we apply the same thinking to radome design.
Testing and compliance
We support wireless performance testing on prototypes and coordinate with antenna and module suppliers when tuning is needed. Radios also bring regulatory requirements, which we address with FCC and CE pre-compliance testing. Antenna integration is part of our electrical engineering services and our RF product engineering work.
Frequently asked questions
Do you design custom antennas?
Our focus is integrating antennas into products. For custom antenna designs we work with specialist antenna suppliers.
Can you improve range on an existing product?
Often. Placement, keep-outs, and enclosure changes can make a significant difference. We can review your design and recommend changes.
Can a metal enclosure work with an internal antenna?
Generally not without openings, RF-transparent windows, or an external antenna. We help you weigh those options early.
Do you work with pre-certified radio modules?
Yes. Pre-certified modules can simplify certification, and we design the board and enclosure to follow the module manufacturer's integration guidelines.
